PAN – CITY PROPOSAL
Application of Smart Solutions will involve the use of technology, information and data to make infrastructure and services better. For example waste water recycling and smart metering which can make a huge contribution to better water management in the city.
Two solutions are proposed under the Pan City Solution
1) Integrated delivery of Government – to- Citizen (G2C) services using Smart card and mobile platforms in two phases. The implementation of Smart Card Infrastructure is being steered by KMRL as the nodal agency. They will initially implement it for ticketing and access to public transport modes and subsequently extend it to other public/para forms like KMC,KWA etc. Integrated mobile platform which provides a single mobile based platform for city information, citizen payment solutions etc. are also included in this solution
2) Intelligent water management solutions for city wide 24*7 supplying – this solution include smart meters equipped with GPS/GPRS based water meter reading for efficient billing and collection status. The proposed solution will also provide real time information on the efficiency of operations, quality management and work scheduling.
